<1> Document Cover: Open when loading an original document on the


Platen Glass.
<2> Paper Support: Open to load paper in the Rear Tray.
<3> Paper Support Extension: Pull out to support paper loaded on the tray.
<4> Paper Guide: Supports paper so that it feeds properly.
<5> Rear Tray: Load paper here before printing. Paper feeds automatically,
one sheet at a time.
<6> Direct Print Port: Connect your Pict Bridge compliant device, such as a
digital camera, here to print directly from it.
<7>Paper Output Tray: Supports the printout. Close it when you are
not using it.
<8> Output Tray Extension: Supports output printouts.
<9> Platen Glass: Load original documents to copy or scan here.
<10> Operation Panel: Changes the settings and operates the machine.

OPERATION PROCEDURE:

SCAN USING THE HP SOLUTION CENTER


If your printer was made before 2011, and you don't have Windows 10, you
may be able to use the HP Solution Center software that came with
your printer, provided you installed it on your computer.

Step 1
Open the scanner cover. Place the item that you want to scan face down on
the scanner glass. Close the scanner cover.
Step 2
Click the "Start" button, point to "All Programs" and open the "HP" folder.
Double-click the "HP Solution Center." The Solution Center window opens.
Step 3
Click the "Scan Picture" button if you want to scan a picture or a document
that you won't need to edit. Click the "Scan Document" button if you are
scanning a document that you may wish to edit later in a word processing
program or similar application.
Step 4
Select a location to which you want to scan the item, such as a folder on
your computer or an email application. Click "Scan." Select the file type you
want to use to save the scan, enter a name for the scan, change other
settings as desired and click "OK." Click "Finish" to complete the scan.
