Cases of Dengue in the Philippines

Not only the case of measles increasing nowadays but also dengue. It's weird
because when it's summer time the dengue cases are on rise. Most of the monsoon
season has dengue, but now even if its summer.

According to the DOH, about 400 dengue cases were recorded at the San
Lazaro Hospital from January to February. All children are said to have dengue.
According to the report, Central Visayas has a high prevalence of dengue cases.
Central Luzon is second and Metro Manila third.

The case is growing in the current context of the Dengvaxia vaccine against
dengue. Many children who have been vaccinated are said to have died. Many parents
are scared of the vaccine because of what happened. The measles vaccine is also
affected. Recently, Dengvaxia is no longer recognized in the Philippines.

Dengue is the heart of a mosquito called Aedes Aegypti. This mosquito is often
found on a daily basis and is easily recognizable due to its spotted body. Dengue
victims are usually children.

Home and environmental hygiene are the key to preventing the death of
dengue-infected mosquitoes. Ignore bottle bottles, cans, car tires, page burners as they
are filled with water during the rainy season. Also clean the gutters without running
out of water because of these mosquitoes.

Symptoms of dengue include fever, skin rash, headache, joint pain, fever and
tests.

Providing guidance to the people regarding dengue should be considered by the

Department of Health (DOH). Provide information to the people about dengue to
prevent it completely. There is still a lot of misinformation about mosquitoes awaiting
disease especially in the wild. Teach students to remember home and the environment.
Teach them how to destroy mosquito habitat.
