No homework policy for kindergarten to high school proposed in the House of Representative.

There were two separate bills promoting the “no homework”policy for students from kindergarten to
highschool have been filed in the house of representative.

Two House bills intent to ban homeworks so that the whole family can bond as soon as the students
return home from school.

Sorsogon Representative and Deputy speaker Escudero proposed that the Department of Education
should implement a “no homework policy” for K to 12 students.

“Homework assignments can deprive students and parents precious time for rest and relaxation after
school hours and even on weekends,” Rep. Escudero said.

His proposal also does not allow students to bring their books daily because it has an effect to their
health.
