Underlying values that drive consumers toward certain products and services and aware from others.
1. Age Agnostic
People are living longer, healthier, fitter and more active than before. Old age is no longer seen as a time to slow
down. Older people do not perceive themselves as elderly and do not appreciate to be treated as such.
3. Conscious Consumer
People are becoming increasingly mindful of the impact of their choices to our environment. They want to act in
a responsible manner that does the least harm to the world we live in.
4. Digitally Together
Consumers are becoming more digitally active and connected. More are comfortable around digital sharing and
are doing more fun things online.
5. Everyone’s an Expert
Consumers expect information and communication 24/7. With instant access to information such as reviews, they
do research before buying and know exactly what they want.
6. Finding my JOMO
Many consumers are now finding solace in the “Joy of Missing Out” or JOMO. They learned to separate their work,
social and private lives. They are also more protective of their privacy and consciously go offline to tune out.
9. I Want It Now!
People want instant attention and fast delivery of products and services. Slow businesses will fall prey to the fitter
and faster companies that can respond and act quickly.
