HISTORY OF THE GAME

LUKSONG BAKA

Luksong baka is loosely translated in English, as “Jump over the Cow”. It is a


traditional Filipino game that originated from Bulacan. At the start of the game, there
should be one player that should be called “Taya” (It) or in this game known as the
“bakang lala” (Cow). It consists of a minimum of three (3) players and maximum of ten
(10) players. It involves the players jumping over the person called the “Baka” and the
main goal of the players is to successfully jump over the “baka” without touching or
falling over him/her.

MECHANICS OF THE GAME
 It should be 10 players each team (the first 5 players they will jump on the other 5
player who are the baka "taya" )

 The “taya” should start with Level 3

 The players should avoid falling over the “baka” and will be jumping over the
baka

 The first, middle and last player will get the flag and put it in the styro other side.

 The players should jump one by one

 Once the first set of jumping over the “baka” is done.

 The second set of jumping over the baka are the 5 players who are the baka
earlier (change position)

 Same routine

 If baka fall he/she should back to the position for the player able to jump again

 The Main goal of the players is to successfully jump over or falling over the baka
and to get the flag to put it in the styro as much as you can
