Hello children, my name is Harry and I work here at the city zoo. Come with me and see all the different
animals. On your left you can see the lions lying in the grass. Look for the baby lion, he is hiding behind the
tree. The lions eat a lot of meat. We feed them at twenty-five to two every day. After their meal they like to
sleep in their cage for a long time. On your right are the tigers. The big tiger is called Rajah. He is forty-eight
years old and he is the oldest tiger in Britain. The oldest animal in our zoo is Terry, the Giant Tortoise. Guess
how old he is? He is more then a hundred years old. We feed him with lettuce and grass but his favourite
food are tomatoes. The monkeys like tomatoes and bananas too but they love chocolate. We don’t give it to

white monkey with the ball? He likes to run away and play with my hat. How many monkeys can you see?
Look, there are nine monkeys jumping in the trees and three are sleeping on the grass. Who is afraid of
snakes? Don’t be afraid. Look at this beautiful snake. It’s green with yellow strips. Here is the café. You can
have an ice-cream and a lemonade here. Than at four o’clock you can watch me feed the penguins.
