ABSTRACT

Siak Hulu II Public Health Center is one of the public health centers in Kampar
Regency, Riau Province, which still has a small size medicine warehouse and
there are still shortages and vacancies of medicine. The purpose of this study in
general is to get an overview of drug logistics management planning evaluation in
the Health Center of Siak Hulu II Kampar Regency in 2019. This type of research
is a qualitative study that aims to find out about drug management planning in the
Health Center of Siak Hulu II with data processing techniques, namely processing
primary data with in-depth interviews and observation and processing of
secondary data by means of document review. The results of this study are the
Human Resources (HR) at Puskesmas Siak Hulu II have not been included in
either category due to lack of workforce (pharmacist assistants) as well as the
education level of the workforce has not reached undergraduate (S1). The
facilities and infrastructure of the medicine service at the Siak Hulu II Public
Health Center are inadequate and need to be equipped such as restoration of
buildings and rooms as well as completing the tools for drug storage and building
a drug warehouse with a minimum area according to the determined Puskesmas
standards. The planning of drug management in the Siak Hulu II Public Health
Center is good enough, using the methods in drug planning namely consumption
and epidemiology methods, as well as determining drug planning in two time
categories namely long term (annually) and short term (per 3 months).
Suggestions in this study are the addition of a workforce that is an assistant
Pharmacist, building a drug warehouse with a standard size, and the health
center can form an Integrated Drug Planning Team (IDPT).
