Checklist for scanning to SMB from Photocopier.

 Check Network Type is set to Private and NOT public.


 Check File and Print Sharing is switched on.
 Check SMB 1.0 CIFS Server is installed.
o Control Panel  Turn Windows Features On or Off
 SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support  SMB 1.0 CIFS Server
 Enable SMB Support using the following Powershell Commands (Administrative)
o Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName SMB1Protocol
o Set-SmbServerConfiguration –EnableSMB2Protocol $true
 Restart PC
 Set up Scanner User Account
 Set up Scans Shared Folder
 Add Scanner User Account to Scans Folder Permissions and set as Full Control.
 Add Scanner User Account to Scans Folder Sharing Permissions and set as Read/Write
Access.

If it doesn’t work check 3rd Party Firewall isn’t blocking File Sharing and check error code against
Kyocera Scan Error List.pdf and troubleshoot accordingly.
