 Staining Method.
1) Add 10 ml 10% KOH (enough to cover roots). Transfer the beaker
to an 80°C water bath and incubate for 120 minutes.
2) Remove the beaker from the water bath with tongs and cleaner
with water.
3) Acidification with 10% HCl for 5 minutes at room temperature.

4) Staining in chinese ink/acetic for 10 minutes at 90ºC

5) Washing with water to remove excess dye.
6) Preservation and storage of roots in 80% lactic acid.
