Hope for the Flowers by Trina Paulos and Plato’s Allegory of the Cave.

We are born in this world as an infant, as innocent and ignorant in many things
we see. As we start getting older, we observe new things that everything we see in our
surroundings confuses us. We keep asking our parents, our grandparents and others
what we observe and get more curious about everything. That’s their answer should
satisfy your curiosity, but it gets you more confuse and keep asking why, how, when.
Everything is more confusing, the more it confuse you, it makes you explore everything.
You keep asking, you read books, articles, and search. As you keep searching and find
answers in your surroundings. Then it hit your mind, what is your purpose, why are you
living in this world, and the more questions you ask yourself. That finding self-capability
is finding the truth, the truth of freedom that is hidden within.

Hope for the Flowers is not just a simple tail the way it looks. The cover of the
book looks like a reading book for children the way it was made. But it was made for all,
old or young, fat or skinny, woman or man and professionals or not. Some messages
are hidden in the story the way the author wants to relay it to us. This book is not just a
simple tail, but it has a message about life, love, death, the revolution, and hope in the
story. It talks about life where you begin to curious about what is the thing you can do,
or what is what you want. The way it confuses you to walk on the path and find the
answer to your purpose. Of how you can do anything without having a boundary on how
you get used to living. That by finding itself is by finding the truth. That while finding the
truth you encounter many things that will sometimes lead you or it will lead you to the
wrong way. Such as what is in the story, yellow distracted stripe goal to find things that
he can do more. By believing, that he is contented in cuddling and living with yellow as
long as they are happy. As time goes by stripe starts to feel that there is missing. And
he continues to explore it by leaving what holds him to find the truth and it is yellow. But
as he climbed with other caterpillars and reach the top and he sees nothing. As he
failed to find the truth, there is someone from his behind that leads to the truth.
Sometimes, we fail to find the truth because we fail to appreciate those things that we
have.

Next, Allegory of the Cave by Plato has also had a deep meaning in each way.
Like the chains that hold by the puppet symbolized the ignorance of the people, shadow
reflects the truths that are hidden in the cave, and also the three puppets that
symbolized the politicians, the religion and the media. The politicians, who act as to
care in the community and the people, but they are doing such things that people didn’t
know. They are living according to their will while they are letting the people suffer.
While in the religion, the people were pent in their beliefs and their culture. They are
restricted to believe in their own culture. And there goes the media, a media that reveal
the politicians’ hidden agendas. And a person, who used social media by finding out
other cultures and beliefs.

In this, we can say that each story or article has a different approach for the readers. They use
different methods of how will it deliver to the peoples. But there is one thing that the story or article
they want us to know. That finding yourself or finding the answer to what is your purpose in this world is
within yourself. That the answer to your curiosity is by finding truth by exploring what is outside or
finding the answer within yourself. Because in ways of finding the truth, there are obstacles that you will
encounter, there are judgments, heartbreak, failures and it will challenge your faith. But whatever it is,
the truth is always at the end of your sorrow. And knowing the truth which is freedom, life begins again.
