INTRODUCTION

World Wide Web is currently taking over the world. In today’s day and age, it is struggle
to find someone that is not a registered user of some type of social media website. And yet many
people are using internet to work online by selling different products. The smartphone is one of
the greatest inventions that people use to access online shopping sites. There has been an
increase in the number of people who use it because of its low price and availability. You can
also use your computer or tablet to access these sites. Entrepreneurs have done their best to
ensure shopping online is easy for people from all walks of life. They have teamed up with web
designers to create sites that are easy to navigate when one wants to make a purchase. The online
shopping process involves placing an order and waiting for your product to be delivered within a
stipulated period. Before placing an order, you are advised to read the terms of service of a
particular online shop. Mix ups do happen during delivery, and some shops do not have a return
policy. Reading the terms of operation will keep you on a much safer side in case of anything.
You can also read online reviews to understand the quality of a specific product and the services
offered by the shop. E-commerce sites and shops have helped make shopping more comfortable
for most consumers. Here are the benefits of online shopping compared to the traditional method
of shopping. Electronic commerce has grown rapidly in recent years. However, surveys of online
customers continue to indicate that many remain unsatisfied with their online purchase
experiences. Clearly, more research is needed to better understand what affects customers'
evaluations of their online experiences. Through a large data set gathered from two online
websites, the importance of product uncertainty and retailer visibility in customers' online
purchase decisions, as well as the mitigating effects of retailer characteristics. Online shopping
has become increasingly popular as it brings convenience, saves search costs and reduces
difficulties in choosing products. The proliferation of shopping websites triggers ever increasing
numbers of alternatives for online customers.

3
Background of the study

The online shopping revolution has taken over most parts of the continent. Inventions in
the technology scene have helped make online trade easy. This study aims to examine the
effectiveness of online selling to the modern economy in bucandala 3. In this topic you can now
shop anywhere and anytime they want. You don’t need to worry about driving to the mall and
standing on long queues for hours to pay for your items. These sites offer a 24-hour nonstop
shopping and customer care service, unlike the traditional supermarkets that operate during the
day. You should try online shopping and forget about the hassle that comes with conventional
shopping methods. You get to spend less when shopping online. Traditional shopping methods
may incur you expenses when it comes to transport, eating and even other buys. Some online
stores offer free delivery services which help you save the transport money you would have
spent when using conventional shopping methods. Online shopping has grown rapidly in recent
years. However, researches of online customers continue to show that many remain unsatisfied
with their online purchase experiences. Clearly, more researches are needed to better understand
the effectiveness of online selling to the modern economy. Service quality and customer reviews
can mitigate the negative impact of product uncertainty, retailer visibility. However, products'
price helps little on that. Product prices do vary from one shop to another. Traditional shopping
methods may require you to walk from store to store to know their price. With online shopping,
you just need to log in to the various sites and know which one is selling it at a reasonable price
before placing an order.

Based on the study of Sophie Walton (2012), online bargain hunting has prepared my
time much easier and less chaotic. She garage online for birthday presents, textbooks, stuff,
domiciliary supplies and occasionally even for foodstuffs. However, spending for clothing online
has one major problem - - females' sizes are not standard. Clothing producers tell females they
have standard sizes but females know this is as false as one size fits all. She has really sobbed in
a dressing area since she had to buy a pair of pants two sizes larger because they were cut so
small. She does not let this halt me from ordering dress from online retailers because it saves
time and money by shopping online. Though, she has learned a few tricks for shopping online for
outfits that she want to share with us.

Summary

In our study we want to know the effectiveness of online selling in modern economy. In
this study we have 200 respondents that answered the questionnaires that we prepared to get
there opinion about online selling. Most of the respondents that we have are in the millennial age
and most them really likes and hooked in online selling. Online selling became their way of
stress reliever and at the same time they earn money for themselves. Online selling have lots of
advantages but it also have disadvantages in which those disadvantages may cause problem to
their business. Having an online business makes your life easier because you just work online
and at home and at the same time you can still do house chores while doing your business. Base
on the survey that we did, online business is more convenient for those customers who do not
like to fall in line and wait at the malls just to buy what they want. And with this online seller's

19
became more popular and in demand for those people who likes shopping online. Online sellers
nowadays earn so much more money that they need because of the fact that they are in demand.
But some mix ups and problems occur to the sellers and to the costumers of course because
problems cannot be avoided especially in online shopping.

Conclusions

After concluding this research certain results came to light. The most relevant factor that
seems to be affecting consumer buying behaviour towards online shopping when it comes to
younger generation seemed to be trust, because if they trust the website where they can buy their
wants and needs. There is a possibility that today’s young people will be more attracted, because
they trust the website. And it makes the task much easier and more choices. They have no fear if
they provide their personal details.

Recommendations

1. For the students, researchers recommend this study as an instrument that will help
them on buying a proper way and know the barriers of online selling.

2. For the parents, researchers recommend this study as a tool or help for them so
they will have idea and knowledge when they work as an online selling.
