This actual photo investigating the crime scene is all about an incident of ambush in San
Fernando, Cebu City. The victim was the City Mayor Lakambini Reluya. According to PhilStar
global, the Cebu City mayor death involved about politics as the election is approaching and
according to the source Reluya did even received some death threats before this incident happen.
I can relate this to our current issue about politics wherein the election has become one of
the turning point of every Filipino to achieve what they are so called “change” because in this
case we are the ones whose entitled to choose of whoever candidate deserve and willing to serve
our country with their full passion and commitment to the fellowmen. However, what was
happening is that because of their willingness to become a politician some people tend to turn it
into severity or violence, where they even kill people in order to get in that position. This is very
sad for us Filipinos, when in fact we just want to have a peace and ordered nation. As the amount
of killings in the Philippines has been increases and the continuously involved of politicians in
this case, this won’t make our country a better place. Politicians should not use their power to
criminality instead use it for the betterment of themselves and for their constituents.
