Steps to establish a remote Connection using Assist Self Help (APTEAN)

1. Open Assist Self Help from user’s Desktop

*NOTE: There are several icons in user’s screen, we need to select the one that says Assist Self-
Help

2. We need to click on the link <click here to connect with Service Desk>; <Haga clic para conectar
con el Service Desk>

3. We generate the code in Aptean, and we provide it to the user.


4. User will then input the code and e-mail address

*User will need to install a plug in and it may request Admin Rights, we can connect via Skype and
use our credentials to complete that installation
5. User will see the following screen

He will have to click on the first icon to enable the connection under Aptean

6. We will click on the link that says RA – Connection Code

7. User will have to accept the access in order to give us control


8.We will click on the Remote assist link on the left of the screen and then select Best
Quality and click Connect
