Detailed Lesson Plan in English 7

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson 100% of the students with 85% of proficiency shall be able to:

1. Arrange the adjectives according to its proper order;


2. Complete sentences by putting adjectives in correct sequence and;
3. Cooperate in a group activities.

Reference: English Time (Third Quarter) pp. 37
Materials: box, different things, illustration board, LCD projector, laptop, cartolina, chalk and eraser

B. Motivational Activity

Before we start our lesson for today, let’s have first play a game. This game
called as “Touch and Guess Me.”

I am going to group you into 4 groups. Then your group will choose a
representative to go in front. This representative will touch a thing inside of the
box and describe it while rest of the group will guess. You have only one minute
to guess.

Are my instructions clear, class? Yes, Ma’am.

Okay, let’s begin by counting 1 to 4. (Students will do the activity)

C. Lesson Proper

The activity that we had earlier has something to do with our lesson for today. I
have written the words on the board that your classmates described while the
representatives touching the things inside of the box.

What have you noticed of those words that written on the board? Ma’am, I think the words are adjectives.

What kind of adjective it is? Ma’am, I think it is descriptive adjectives.

You can use descriptive adjectives to describe various qualities of things or


people around you. You might want to indicate their size, their shape or the
country they come from.

Descriptive adjectives are belong to seven main types, but you are unlikely ever
want to use all seven types in the same group of nouns. If you did, you would
normally put them before the noun in the following order:

5. He gave me a gorgeous small red roses.

D. Generalization

To sum up what we have discussed, I want you to give the seven main types of Ma’am, these are the quality, appearance,
adjectives in proper order. What are those? age or period, color or pattern, origin,
material and purpose.

E. Application

To test if you really understood the lesson,I have prepared adjectives and with
the same group, your task is to arrange the adjectives on its proper sequence or
order. You only have one minute to do the task and you have to raise your
boards as the time stops to know who finish first. The group will get the highest
point will be the winner.
