Rapid Interpretation of EKG 6th Edition
students Review

1- This is literally EKG's for idiots. Dubin breaks it down and spoon feeds th
e information to you in a way that makes it easy for a first year medical stud
ent to understand this information at its fundamental level to then apply it to
more complex disease states. Often times when I read a text book I feel ov
erwhelmed by the sheer volume of information included on a page. This bo
ok does not leave me feeling that way at all. It is simple to read and easy to
digest and he does a great job of reiterating points as you progress though
the book and introducing concepts in such a manner that they are easy to g
rasp on the first read though.

2-This book is awesome! I'm a medical student and this block we're studyin
g cardiology. I am near the bottom of the class. I go to lecture everyday an
d absolutely understand NADA because the lecturer speaks on a level that
is 10x more advanced than me, but the other students seem to understand
it.I bought this book because after 4 lectures of EKG's at my school, the on
ly thing I got out of it is that EKG's are cool little zig zags. I didn't know how
to diagnose ANY cardiac pathologies from EKG's. So I bought this book to
give me a leg up on my competition, or at least be on an even level with th
e rest of the med students in my class. It helped me a looooooot. This boo
k explains to you like you're an elementary school student. I now understan
d EKG's much better than before. The book is ~ 350 pages, but there are di
agrams on every page and a few notes to accompany each diagram, so th
ey're not really "full pages." I like this, because if you condense it all into a
regular book without diagrams, it's really only like 100 pages of reading. I u
nderstood EKG's after devoting one day of a weekend toward studying it. T
his book is AWESOME, really explains things well!!!!
