Only a handful of visionaries have recognized that Indigenous wisdom can aid the

transition to a sustainable world, Mitchell(1997). We never know what can a certain individual
can do and how far can he go. We cannot just judge a person in our own perspective without
knowing their story, experiences and how they grew.

The article Reclaiming our indigenous worldview written by Four Arrow and
Darcia Narvaez on 2015, talks about the two (2) worldviews the Dominant and the Indigenous
worldview. It is said that the dominant or the modern society is destroying the indigenous
people well infact having an indigenous worldview is a more appropriate baseline in helping the
world to make a better placeto live in. In today's time there is a manipulation of culture and
each group tries to fight for rights and acceptance. And I think that the world needs people who
have full respect, understanding to each other and being open to what are the needs of
everyone. And to have a holistic view to what can be the best solution to distribute equality
without destroying our home. I see that in the modern times, indigenous people not juatt here
in the Philippines but also in other places experiencing discrimination and being deprived to
what they reallt deserve for they are people who knew how to preserve culture. I feel guilty that
I was one of those people that feels disgusted against indigenous people but I have learned as I
become knowledgeable is that indigenous people do not deserve to be disgusted but they
deserve to be accepted and loved by the society. Because it seems like people now a days forgot
their origins not knowing that discriminating indigenous people is just the same with disgusted
by his/her ownself.

A good qoute of Jay Griffiths stating "if people can't acknowledge the wisdom of
Indigenous cultures, then that's their loss". In conclusion, Indigenous people are the ones who
knew better the nature because they live more with it and they are the nature itself. And the
one's who knew more to heal it is only the indigenous people. Giving them respect and rights
are just some few things that can we repay them for helping us to preserve the environment.
