supplies us and other countries with a wide variety of food and non - food
products.
It contributes positively to our foreign trade balance.
Although farms generating over $250 ,000 per year in sales makes up more than
10 percent of all farms.
Self - employed workers - mostly farmers and fishers .

Two Larger Sectors of Agriculture

*Crop Production
~ Includes farms that mainly grow crops used for food and fiber.
Ex: Fruit and Vegetables farms
*Animal Production
~Includes farms and ranches that raise animal products.

*Fishing Subsector
-One of the largest sectors that composes the Agricultural part of the industry next
to forestry and logging.
*Forestry and Logging Sector
-The largest sector that composes the agricultural industry
*Agricultural - Related Activities
-The agricultural support activities subsector includes establishments that perform
any numbers.
