Orientation : This part tells about the

2.Complication : This part includes situations, activities, or events that lead
problem(s)/complication(s) to the climax.

3. Resolution : The problem or complication is solved here. It shows the end of the story, usually a
happy or unhappy

4. Coda : That provides a comment or moral based on what has been learned from the story.

Kinds of Indirect/Reported Speech :

1. Reported Imperative

a). Positive imperative

Example :

»The teacher said, “Open the book!”

The teacher asked to open the book.

• Introduction verb, say/said, turn into told, ordered, asked ,and commanded.

b). Negative imperative

Example :

»The teacher said, “Don’t open the door!”

The teacher asked not to open the door.

2. Reported Questions

a). Yes/No answer => if/whether

»Rio said, “Do you come here?”

Rio asked Zahra if she came there.

b). WH Question => WH

»He said, ”Where is the station?”


He asked me where the station was
