Title : Is Indonesia ready to face Industry 4.0 ?

Industry 4.0 was first mentioned at the Hannover Messe industry exhibition in the city of
Hannover, Germany in 2011. In general, Industry 4.0 is a trend in the industrial world that
transfers automation technology with cyber technology. In Indonesia, the application of
Industry 4.0 can already be felt in some aspects of life, like economic aspects, transportation,
and more.

We take the easy example of transportation, transportation in Indonesia, especially public

transportation, we can only enjoy if we go to the terminal. But in this era, we can order public
transportation without having to go to the terminal or the other, we just need to order via
smartphone and will go directly to our location. Industry 4.0, in my opinion, can also overcome
problems that often occur in society, such as economic problems for example. Only through
smartphones, notebooks or PCs can people earn income, such as by writing on blogs, or making
videos on Youtube, people can earn income from ads that appear on their blog or video. People
who already have an income but want to expand their sales network and increase their income

Industry era 4.0 is ready to be applied in Indonesia in many aspects because we can already
feel the benefits that arise due to this era. Although only a few sectors have implemented Industry
4.0, the impact is very big for our lives. Many people have been helped by this era, and I am sure
that in the future if there are more implementations in life, our society will be able to get a better
life than before.
