What is review?

Review:- Examaning the project related work is called review.

Requirement review:- These reviews carries our by domain exports to find mistake at
requirement.
Design review:- These reviews carried out by technical exports generally system
architect to make sure design is made as per experiment(or)not.
Code review:- These reviews carried out by developers to make sure developed code
is as per standards(or)not.
Test case review:- These reviews carried out by senior testers prefarbly testly to
make sure prepare test cases is enough (or)not.
Formal reviews:- If any review activity carried out by follwing review procedures
and proper documentation then these reviews are called formal reviews.
Inspections and audits are the best example for formal review.

Inspection:- If a formal review carried out while executing a work is called


inspection.
Audit:- If a formal review carried our after completion of work is called audit.

Informal reviews:- If a review activity carried out without following proper review
procedures then it is called informal review
Peer reviews:- Peer reviews are best example for informal reviews. It is carried
among the colleagues.
Walk throughs:- It is not a formal process. It is led by the authors useful for the
people if they are not from the software discipline,
who are not used to or cannot easily understand software development process
knowledge transfer sessions are called walk thorughs

Techincal review:- The review is conducted by trained moderator but can also led by
technical expert.
