I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Identify the Figurative Languages used in the given sentences
2. Construct sentences using any of the Figurative Languages
3. Participate in a group activity about Figurative Languages.
II. Subject Matter
Reference: Anglo – American Literature Book
Topics: Figurative Languages
Materials: Visual Aids, Cut- out letters, PowerPoint presentation
III. Procedure
A. Review

Identify the following


1. Define arranged marriage and love marriage.

B. Motivation

- Divide the class into five groups and arrange the scrabbled letters to form the
correct word.
- Ask questions to learners related to the words they formed.

C. LESSON PROPER
Discuss the following:
1. Define the figurative languages.
2. Types of figurative languages

D. GENERALIZATION

What are the different figurative languages that we discussed?

E. APPLICATION

The teacher will group the students by threes, the teacher will present examples then
each group will identify if the examples are Apostrophe, Metaphor,
Personification, Hyperbole, and Understatement.
IV. Evaluation
