I. What is your opinion about the effort of other youth and/or

yourself to protect the environment?
1) Gần đây, môi trường dường như là một vấn đề nóng ở không chỉ quốc gia cụ thể
mà trên toàn thế giới. Là một công dân của Trái đất, tôi đã nhận thấy sự cần thiết
phải chịu trách nhiệm bảo vệ môi trường. Cụ thể, tôi luôn cố gắng để có một cuộc
sống xanh. Mỗi hoạt động hàng ngày được tiến hành theo cách ít ảnh hưởng đến
môi trường nhất. Ví dụ, tôi chọn đi bộ với khoảng cách ngắn. Bên cạnh đó, việc sử
dụng túi nhựa hoặc chai được hạn chế chặt chẽ. Hơn nữa, tôi cố gắng tiết kiệm
năng lượng nhiều nhất có thể. Trước khi rời khỏi một nơi, tôi thường kiểm tra xem
đèn hay bất kỳ thiết bị điện nào đã được tắt. Đối với tôi, có nhiều cách khác nhau
để bảo vệ môi trường và nếu chúng ta quan tâm đến vấn đề này, mọi việc nhỏ
chúng ta thường làm trong cuộc sống hàng ngày có thể hữu ích để bảo vệ môi
trường. Nói chung, bảo vệ môi trường và giảm thiểu hiệu ứng nhà kính là trách
nhiệm của không chỉ một cá nhân mà cả cộng đồng. Điều cần thiết là những thanh
niên khác giúp một tay để bảo vệ hành tinh của chúng ta. Cứu môi trường là cứu
mạng chúng ta.
2) Recently, environment is seemingly a hot issue in not only specific
country but all over the world. Being a citizen of the Earth, I have
perceived the necessity of taking responsibility for protecting the
environment. Specifically, I am always making attempt to lead a green
life. Every daily activity is conducted in the way that affects the
environment the least. For example, I choose to travel on foot with short
distance. Besides, the usage of plastic bags or bottle is tightly restricted.
What's more, I try to save energy as much as I can. Before leaving a
place, I often check if the light or any electrical equipments are switched
off. For me, there are various ways to protect environment and if we care
about this matter, every little things we usually do in our daily life can be
of helpfulness to protect the environment. All in all, protect environment
and minimize greenhouse effect is the responsibility of not only a single
individual but all the community. It is necessary that other youth gives a
hand to protect our planet. Save the environment is saving our life.
3) Not so well as we still do lots of harms to the environment by using plastic , littering and
wasteful in food
4) The youth have a important role in protecting the environment. The youth are supposed to
take action to raise awareness of the others to join hands to protect the clean environment.
5) Nowadays, in the era of social networks, I think a majority of the young, with their phones
accessed to internet, are aware of environmental pollution, whose impacts they can feel to
some extent. Moreover, they may know some simple steps to contribute to environmental
protection such as reducing the use of plastic bags or use public transportation, etc. Actually,
 they start to take actions. Many take part in campaign to clean the beach or streets, many
walk instead of driving to school, some use personal bottles of water instead of plastic bottles.
I hold a belief each individual can contribute to environment protection and spread that
spirituality to many other people.
6) I have recently become more eco-responsibily and try to make effort to reduce footprint on the
environment by shunning plastic bags, using bio-degradable or canvas bags when shopping,
launching a small campaign on private blog in order to encourage people to use the searching
tool Ecosia and plant more trees....I hope that through these activities, I can somehow
contribute to protecting our living environment.
7) I think each and every of us should try our best to protect the environment because we live in
the same planet and enjoy its resources. Especially, we are now the generation who will use
all resources in the future so protecting them is essential. About myself, I also try my utmost
to prevent the environment from dangers. I will carry out from the smallest thing such as
decreasing using plastic bags or saving energy in my house.
8) In my opinion, it is the fact that we are supposed to share the responsibility to save the
environment. However, most adolescents lack awareness of this urgent issue or show apathy
towards this global problem.
9) I think now environment is more and more polluted so human has done many things to
protect the environment because protect the environment is also protect our life. But not all of
people aware of the importance of protecting the environment. So in many schools, students
found many environment organizations in order to rising the awareness of people. I hope with
the effort of people, especially the youth, our environment will better and better.
10) From my point of view, saving the environment is responsibility of all citizens all over the
world, especially the youth. As far as we are concerned, teenagers are in the most bright
stage of lives so they are energetic enough to make efforts to deal with environmental
problems. By applying the greening knowledge at home and schools, the youth can change
adult's attitudes about environmental protection. For me, I always try my best to do even the
tiniest thing to improve the environment and our livelihoods
11) In my opinion, I do believe that the youth - our generation- plays the most fundamental role in
protecting environment. It is clear that our environment is alarmingly degraded, which fosters
adolescents to raise awareness and tackle this issue in the nick of time. Additionally the youth
is trying their best to save our world like Greta Thunberg. Although she is young and many
people said that the media takes advantage of her, she raises her voice to save the Mother
Nature. However, the effort is not enough. Forest are cutting down day by day and the
iceberg is still melting. We need to find an urgent solution to the problem and find a way to
raise the awareness of the youth
12) Well, From my perspectives, we all need to take our responsibility for protecting our own
environment. Recently, I've noticed that the youth started to concern more about this issue
because of its negative impacts. There are more and more green campaign celebrated by
most of teenagers. As a result, our environment has been improved day by day. Obviously,
everyone has realised their role in this mission. However, actually, we need to carry out more
effective resolution which is suitable for our environment's state now. In short, as a teenager,
I'm always willing to take part in every environment's campaign to do some benificial things.
That's also the reason why I apply for GBC. Thanks a lot!
13) Personally, I think that youngsters nowaday are more aware of protecting environment. We
try to reduce the amount of plastic garbage, saving water and live simly. Although we know
well that it’s extremely to change our habbit of over spending, we try day by day to change
from little things with the hope of doing something meaningful.
14) I threw trash on the bin, reduced to use plastic bags but I think these are not enough so I think
I need more action to protect the environment.

18) In my opinion, the future of the Earth is onto our hands. As a young person, I truly
acknowledge that the smallest action can make the biggest difference in changing our
environment for betterment. Limiting the use of plastic bags and disposable boxes, stopping
littering in the ocean, shifting to a green lifestyle can be simple actions for a person to take.
When one starts and influences his surroundings, others will follow. That's when we create a
green community. Therefore, I strongly believe that a single effort can create a big difference
and encourage collective effort in saving the Earth.
19) Youngsters hold the key to protect the environment. We all want to protect our planet, but
we're mostly too busy to put up big change that would improve our lifestyle and save the
environment.
20) I believe that each teenager nowadays are aware of the harmful effects of pollution to our life.
Therefore, we have some great solutions to tackle the problem and make the environment
cleaner such as minimising the usage of plastic bags or joining many environmental

environment. Environmental protection is influenced by some factors like environmental
legislation, ethics and education. Education and ethic should should be thought from early
age by starting at home and kinder gardens. Once people change the way of thinking about
environment, they wil be willing to help protect the environment.
22) The youth play a crucial role in protecting the increasingly depleting environment. Not only
can they take self actions such as reusing or recycling things, but they can also raise
awareness among the public. Owing to the fact that youngsters are the future of each nation,
their voice should be listened to and paid great attention.

be built by small human activities. Each individual should change small routines such as turn
off unnecessary light to protect the environment together
24) I think each of them has been aware of environmental problems so they join in many public
activities to protect environment. Some people even create campaign to call for saving water,
electric and picking up trash. It has the large number of answer from people. They are trying
to protect our environment and hope for the better future without polluted.

are so aware of its great importance that we have increased the efforts to protect the
environment such as reduce the usage of plastic bags, make full use of biodegradable bags,
recycle bottles and limit using single-use products.
26) From my perspective, protecting the environment plays an integral part in our lives. Not only
do adults strive for retaining their living environment but the young also try to do that action.
By way of illustration, there are more and more campaigns that are organized by adolescents
around us in order to decline the pollution. They tend to hold the voluntary works such as
cleaning the beach, taking garbage or even plant more trees contributing to generate more
oxygen and decrease the air contamination. In addition, they give a variety of practical
slogans such as : " Garbage is our enemy" or " The more trees are planted, the more lives are
saved". Those are very meaningful to our lives. I myself take the responsibility for going
against the environmentally setback. For example, instead of driving a motorbike to go to
school, I have a tendency to ride a bike for two principle benefits. Firstly, by riding a bike, I
can help to decrease a high level of emission into the environment. Secondly, it is a
 economical way helping to save money for me. Overall, I appreciate every effort of the young
in protect our living environment.
27) The youth is the generation that take the biggest responsibility in protecting the Earth
because we are aware of the consequence of pollution and we approached to the latest e-
friendly methods

exactly what we should do as "owners" of the world.
32) The environment plays an important part in our daily life. The young generation nowadays is
conscious of the environmental issue. They have many campaigns to raise the awareness of
publicity about the plastic waste. Along with the coastal line of Vietnam, the vigorous youth
have volunteered to save the blue ocean. However, besides those concerning about the
heated issue, the courterparts do not take this into consideration when going out, drinking ,
using one-use plastic cup then throwing it away; they can bring their own cup or bottles to
enjoy the beverage and protect the environment. To protect the earth is everyone’s
responsibility.
33) In my opinion, I try my best to protect the environment. For example, recycle things, use less
plastic,....
34) Some simple things I think I and young people should do to help protect the environment: -
Reduce, reuse, and recycle: Cut down on what we throw away. Follow the three "R's" to
conserve natural resources and landfill space. - Volunteer: Volunteer for cleanups in the
community. We can get involved in protecting our watershed, too. - Conserve water: The less
water we use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end up in the ocean. - Plant a
trees: Because trees provide food and oxygen, help save energy, clean the air, and help
combat climate change. - Bike more. Drive less.
35) From my perspective, I think the effort of other youth and even myself to protect the
environment is admirable and respectable because they dare to work to solve a nasty
problem that is still ignored in Vietnam.

of the importance of the environment and have joined hands to make revolution in saving the
Earth from degradation. The young, also I approach practical solutions to protect the
environment everyday on Facebook such as reducing the sumption of plastic products by
using sustainable materials( inox, bamboo, rice...). Moreover, there has been a rise in
campaigns to raise human's awareness. For example, exchanging paper for trees is
becoming popular among young people. I claim that we may not see the result of our effort
immediately, but the change appears to happen gradually day by day.
39) In my opinition, efforts to protect the environment should be encouraged but not all of them.
The reason iss that some people said they were doing something for the environment, but
they did not do anything actually. Some years ago, some girls took their photo without
wearing clothes and they said that they did it to protect the environment. Frankly, I do not see
any connections between their photos and the environment. Therefore, what is called "efforts
to protect the environment" should be actions, not the words.
40) Protecting our environment is not an individual task, but a gobal mission. The youth around
the world are joining hands to protect the environment. Those joint efforts should be
encouraged and more widely popularized.
41) Youth are aware of the importance of environment, so, we are trying to make the ecosystem
better day by day.

43) In my viewpoint, up to now the young people (including me) have been making great

of the young neglect our environment. Some young volunteers try to set shining examples of
"green people", but they merely change others' perception.

ensure the health and quality of life of the people. Moreover, protecting the environment
makes an important contribution to socio-economic development. Nowadays, young people
have many positive efforts in protecting the environment such as organizing voluntary
programs for garbage collection, propagating and educating about environmental protection. I
really appreciate that and always try to take part in as many activities as possible.
47) In my perspective, the youth has understood about the necessity of protecting the
environment. However the number of people who takes action is still small. I think students
should avoid using plastic bags and reduce the number of trash. Additionally, it is essential to
change our routine such as going shopping, buying too much food.
48) Young People Are Much More Aware of and Concerned About Environment.For instance,
numerous environmental movements are organized by youth caring about conservation of
natural resources and areas, global warming, ozone depletion and plenty of other problems.
49) I think we are aware of the importance of environmental protection. But those efforts are not
enough. We need to expand them in various ways.

myself am trying from the smallest things like limiting the use of plastic, actively participating

and save the environment as soon as possible.

Therefore, I always try to limit the consumption of pollutants such as plastic bags/ box as
much as possible. My friends and I would rather enjoy the food at eatery or use our own bowl
than ask for plastic box to take it away. We also use our water bottle instead of buying plastic
water bottle in supermarket. However, there are other people who don't pay much attention to
this problem and feel free to throw trash to the environment and use massively plastic items
just for their conveniences. I think environmental protection should be popularized in the
community so that we can make changes in environmental pollution situation in the future.
58) Youngsters are increasingly aware of their responsibility to protect the environment. In order
to reduce the number of discarded plastics, they have replaced single-use plastic bottles with
their own personal drinking bottles, used metal or wood straw, ... There are many campaigns
held by young people to raise people's awareness and encourage others to clean the streets
and not to discard garbage carelessly.
59) Individuals, organisations and governments need to come together and join hands to protect
what is left of our planet so that the future is not wiped out before it’s time for a curtain call.
