Jack: I'm sorry, Lily. There's no way we can post your letter now.
Jack: Don't be silly, Lily. The North Pole is hundreds of miles away.
Lily: But we could build our own sleigh and fly to the North Pole. (to audience) Couldn't
we?
Jack: Well, I don't think we could fly...
Lily But we could still build a sleigh... (to
audience) Couldn't we?
Jack: Well...
Lily: Pleeeeease?
Jack: But...
Jack: Oh, alright then. We'll build a pretend sleigh. But you're going to have to use a
little imagination.
Jack: Imagination.
Jack: Ta-dah! Look, I found dad's old skis. These will be perfect. Here, you take one
and put it over there. And I'll put this one over here. Careful, they're quite heavy.
Lily: I can manage. I'm a sleigh-building expert. (she giggles)
They place one ski on
each side of the bed to make the runners.
Jack: Perfect. Now, it's quite high up. You'll need a step.
Lily: You can use this toybox, Jack. But be careful. It's full of magic dust.
Jack: Well, we might need magic dust to help us fly, so this will be perfect.
Lily: Yippee! Jack Now you'll need somewhere to sit... So let's put the chair on top.
Jack: puts the chair on top of the bed. Jack And... (bowing) Your carriage awaits.
Lily: It's not a carriage, Jack, it's a sleigh! Jack Of course, silly me. Up you get.
