Plant Maintenance - Create Notification

Notifications can be created directly, and are called as general notifications

1 - Create General PM Notification

Transaction Code = IW21
Notification Type = M1 maintenance request
Notification = leave blank
Press Enter

Notification Tab:
Functional Location / Equipment / Work Centre
Description = Give the detail of what needs to be done, for example – cleaning,
oiling, checking for noise, etc.
Press Save
A Notification Number is generated

As the work gets started, you need to update the notification with the work
performed.
2- Notification Change
Which is done via Transaction Code IW22 (change notification)

Update the Description, by adding the work done and completion status.
Click the checkered flag.

You will get the date and time of completion and the update that the
notification has been completed. Basically this was an unplanned notification.
3 – Breakdown Notification – Create
Sometimes breakdown can happen to a machinery, which would need a
breakdown notification to get it up and running again:
Create Breakdown Notification
Transaction Code = IW21
Notification Type = M2 malfunction request
Notification = leave blank
Press Enter
Notification Tab:
Notification = provide description of the activity
Functional Location = functional location
Equipment = equipment
Work Centre = work centre

There will now be a new section with Malfunction Data when M2 is selected.
Including Date / time (start and end of breakdown, breakdown indicator and
breakdown duration)

Click the green flag to release, update the notification with the work done and
then click the checkered flag once work has been completed.
