Camilon BEED Essay

Freedom to write, in and of itself, is freedom. You are allowed to write and nobody
has any right to stop you from expressing your thoughts through written language.
However, freedom to write is not absolute, and has its own limitations.
For instance, if one disagrees with a certain idea or propaganda, one cannot simply
write accusations and disputatious words against an entity for the mere reason that one
is free to write.
Journalistic writing requires us to write based on facts. Writing for the truth is what
freedom to write really embodies. The word freedom in “freedom to write” doesn’t mean
everybody is free to write whatever they choose. Freedom in that phrase means the liberty
of TRUTH from those who would otherwise try to conceal it from the people. Freedom to
write means the power to uphold truth against those who would lie and deceive others for
their own interests.
We all have the right to write freely, but with it comes an ironclad duty to write
responsibly, honoring the truth beyond our own personal advantages.
