1 Introduction
The RRU3839 is the outdoor remote radio unit which is powered by a power cabinet. It is the
RF module of the distributed NodeB and is installed close to the antenna. The RRU3839
performs modulation, demodulation, data processing, and combination and division of
baseband signals and RF signals.
The software of the RRU3839 is backward compatible with the NodeB, MBTS, and OSS of
the N-1 and N-2 versions, where N indicates the current version number, for example,
RAN15.1 in this document. In addition, the software package of the three versions includes
the RRU3839 software components. Therefore, the RRU3839 of RAN15.1 can be used for
RAN14.0, RAN15.0, and RAN15.1, without affecting KPIs.

Configuration Capacity
Non-MIMO Configurations It supports six carriers.
MIMO Configurations It supports four carriers.
Hybrid Configurations For details, see Table 2-6 Carrier combinations supported
by RRU3839 in hybrid configurations.
As recommended in 3GPP TS 25.104, is measured in the entire operating band at the antenna connector
on the condition that the channel rate is 12.2 kbit/s and the BER is not higher than 0.001.
In hybrid configurations, each TX channel supports a maximum of four carriers, with maximum
output power of 60 W.
In the 3x1 or 3x2 configuration, one WBBPf3 and one UMPTb1 are configured.
In the 3x3 or 3x4 configuration, two WBBPf3 units and one UMPTb1 are configured.
In the 3x1 configuration, one WBBPf3 and one UMPTb1 are configured.
In the 3x2 configuration, two WBBPf3 units and one UMPTb1 are configured.
