The Executive Summary – Criterion 6

The college is functioning under the able guidance of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Educational
Trust and a BoG which takes care of overall development of the college. The operational
decisions are taken by the principal in consultation with the higher forum members and the
departmental extended forums' members.
The overall functioning of college is steered as per the requirements of the Strategic Plan
2015-20 and the activities are reviewed to be in line with it.
The organizational structure enables the functioning and steering of overall activities of
college towards its vision and mission. The administrative setup has clear lines of reporting,
responsibilities and accountability. Various standing committees keep on functioning
according to their SoPs. The service and conduct rules are well defined and available to all. All
recruitment / promotion policies are as per management rules within framework of norms
setup by various regulatory authorities. The grievance redressal mechanism is well laid and
effectively working.
The college has implemented e-governance in many key areas to effectively utilize the
resources.
The college offers a number of welfare measures for its faculty and staff. The college organizes
various personality and faculty development programs on regular basis. The faculty is
encouraged to attend various workshops / seminars / FDPs. College has separate
Performance Appraisal System for its teaching and non-teaching staff, wherein the staff fills
its annual performance record and submits before the increment every year.
The college accounts are audited as per norms. Being the self-financing college, the major
chunk of income is derived from students' fees. Some other sources of income including the
use of college infrastructural and academic facilities by the local community on chargeable
basis.
In Feb 2018, the college has formerly established its IQAC which is contributing significantly
for institutionalizing the quality assurance strategies and processes. The institution reviews
its teaching learning process, structures & methodologies of operations and learning
outcomes at periodic intervals through IQAC set up as per norms. In the scheduled meetings
with the departments are accessed for their academic progress, attendance records, quantum
of syllabi completed, tutorials, assignments etc. The departments are also assessed for their
infrastructural needs.
