Question: There are 4 men with hats: 2 in black and 2 in white. One of them is separated by a
black wall. While the other three are lined-up facing the wall. The men can only speak once
they can deduce the color of their hats. Which man speaks first?

1 22 3 WALL
44

The person to deduce the color of the hats is person number 2. To begin with, person number 4
is hidden behind the wall, so he cannot know the color of the others’ hats as well as that of his
own. Person number 3 cannot know what the color of the hats are since his vision is only the
view of the wall before him. Person 1 knows the color of the 2 hats before him but cannot know
that of his own since it is black and white, so there is a 1:1 probability that his is also either white
or black. The silence of person 1 will give person 2 the idea that person 1 does not know his own
color which means that his own hat is either black or white but since he can see what person 3’s
color which is black, he knows that his is white.

Question: You are given the privilege to have the third eye. Where will you like to put this in
your body and why in that place?
Given the chance, I would put my third eye on one of my hands. Initially, I thought that having
one on my nape would be a good idea but it would limit my view. If my hands had an eye, I can
have a wider sight coverage – When I raise my hand, I can see the top view, when I lower my
hand, especially to a small, confined space (for example, under the bed), I can just stretch out my
hand and see what is underneath. And if I want my back view, I can simply rest my arms on my
back. Moreover, my hands can most likely move to more directions. Which can also help me
possibly see a 360 coverage of a wonderful view. The only disadvantage would be the fact that
hands are used for everyday work like writing, doing lab works, but I can always close my “third
eye” when doing such things or in worst case scenarios, such as handling harmful chemicals or
touching dirty objects, I can wear gloves.
