REPORT ON INDUSTRIAL VISIT

1. Title

Industrial report on DIARY DAY CLASSIC ICE CREAMS and PUSHPAK

PRODUCTS PVT.LTD.

2. Date of Visit

04th of FEBRUARY 2020

3. Objective

The objective of the industrial visit was to enhance of our knowledge on the real
time industry with respect to procurement of raw materials, inventory management,
process flow, finances involved in it, packaging and logistics in respective industry.

4. Report

Our journey started at 7:00 AM from the campus accompanied by Mr BN Swamy

and Mr Balasubramanyam. There was a small break for breakfast around 8.30 AM
and we reached the dairy day classics at around 9:30 the factory tour was guided
by Manager of factory with starting from giving introduction to the industry and
company and followed by: -

• Raw material Storage

• Sorting of dry fruits/ Initial processing bay
• Processing and shop floor
• Packaging
• Cold storage at -25-degree Celsius

And we were provided with cup of ice-cream in canteen area at the factory.

And we reached the PUSHPAK PRODUCTS PVT. LTD. Where the fabrication of
corporate furniture takes place and their customers are notably DRDO, TKML,
ISRO, BHEL etc.

Mainly the furniture is of wooden and the profiles are cut using the 2-axis CNC
machine, followed by beeding machine, polishing machine and assembly shop.

Then we visited the floor for sheet metal shaping and their product is supplied to
ISRO’s Chandrayaan project.

And our journey started back to campus and we reached college by 5:00 PM.

5. Conclusion

The industrial visit was a fruitful insight and industry exposure where we acquired
knowledge regarding the procurements, salaries, wages, industry, raw material
storage, process flow, information flow, storage, logistics and delivery part.
