New Oracle E-Business Suite Person Data Removal Tool Helps

Customers Address Data Privacy Requirements

Oracle is pleased to announce the availability of the Oracle E-Business Suite Person Data
Removal Tool, designed to remove (obfuscate) data associated with people in E-Business
Suite systems. Customers can apply the tool to select information in their E-Business Suite
production systems to help address internal operational and external regulatory
requirements, such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Using the Person Data Removal Tool, business analysts identify persons for whom data
should be removed, consistent with data privacy and data retention policies. They then run
checks to verify that the identified persons have no active transactions or other constraint
conditions that would make it inappropriate to remove the person data. For persons who
pass the checks, they then remove the person data.
E-Business Suite provides constraints and rules for use with the Person Data Removal Tool.
These constraints and rules drive the checks and the removal of data from E-Business Suite
database tables associated with employees, customer contacts and supplier contacts. The
delivered constraints and rules can be extended to address additional requirements or
customizations.
