I am a development professional with wealth of experience spanning across multilateral, central and

local governmentbodies, and civil society. My passion is in strengthening institutions to create


opportunities that empowers people,especially the marginalized, in the areas of environmental
governance and social development.

Banye Eric is an international development professional with years of NGO work experience in
climate smart value chain development, economic development, agribusiness, gender
mainstreaming, strategic planning, multistakeholder dialogue and policy advocacy at a senior level.
Eric has been primarily involved in the design and implementation of capacity development
programmes for Government Agencies, Civil Society Organizations, Community-Based and Farmer-
Based Organisations in Ghana. He has managed the coordinating and overall implementation of the
Food security projects and Value chain programmes which seek to empower over 200,000 rural
women and create sustainable market, income and food security for them. He is also responsible for
engaging stakeholders to improve pro-poor policies, private sector competitiveness and create the
conditions for sustainable growth.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Population Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Resource
Development both from the University of Ghana. He speaks English fluently and has a fair knowledge
in French.

He is currently the Country Focal Person for Agriculture and Country Programme Coordinator for the
Voice for Change Partnership programme which aimed at strengthening the capacities of Civil
Society Organisations (CSOs) and creating evidence to advocate for a conducive enabling
environment in Food and Nutrition Security, WASH and Energy. He is also the Country Focal Person
of the Agricultural sector for SNV Ghana where he leads the development of the agric sector projects
and engages other stratetgic partners and donors.

A professional, with experience in farm management, agricultural and rural project administration,
management and coordination. I am experienced in budget implementation and monitoring,
financial management, expenses control, execution of project work plans, strategic planning,
managing project resource allocation, scheduling project timelines, developing M&E plans and tools,
build the capacity of staff and report writing. I have extensive skills in cost evaluation techniques and
tools which I apply to produce cost-effective solutions and a proven record of
implementing/coordinating projects whilst supervising teams.

The Senior Seed Business, Production and Association Development Advisor is responsible for
directing and supervising ATT project’s Regional Seed Business Advisors on all business related
activities, in particular the expansion and improved service delivery of new and existing agro-input
suppliers in the northern region.
He will be the primary change agent within ATT to support the transformation of National Seed
Trade Association of Ghana (NASTAG) into a viable and independently operating business
association.
He will provide support to emerging seed companies and organization of the Northern Ghana Seed
Platform and related public-private partnership activities for the Agricultural Technology Transfer
project.
He will develop training programs and technical support for seed producers on how to transform
themselves into seed companies, create strong market linkages and improve collaboration between
public and private sector stakeholders in the seed sector.
Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party, the Senior Seed Business, Production and
Association Development Advisor for the Agricultural Technology Transfer project will:
1. Coordination and planning
Work with executive officers of NASTAG to implement the organization’s Strategic Plan to become a
viable and independently operating organization providing valuable services and products to its
subscribed members;
Coordinate the activities of the Regional Seed Business teams to organize Seed Platform meetings.
Coordinate the activities that will support seed producers and seed companies through business
plan development and market analyses.
The Senior Seed Business, Production and Association Development Advisor will also work in close
collaboration with the seed experts of Wageningen UR-CDI. This includes joint activity planning and
methodology development.
Work together with other USAID projects/initiatives to leverage impact in the project region.

• Work project partners to profile, map and create data bases for farmers, input suppliers and buyers.
• Work with ImageAD to load the databases and to customize the mfarms platform to the needs of
the FTM project
• Organize training workshops to build users’ capacity to use the platform to pull and/or push
information to and from participating farmers and entrepreneurs
