Step by Step Guide to your Recruitment Business

Becoming a recruiter is always challenging because it is two-fold the efforts.


1) Sales - Find clients looking for candidates.
2) Sourcing - Provide clients with candidates.

Some basic considerations:

Attitude: Need a positive attitude and it is a very target based process. Need to be

come up with a good business name.

business.

2) Get a website for your business.


If you already have a professional website, then go to step 3.
Based on your business name, buy a domain from any known website domain

the domain

3) Set up basic infrastructure, tax, and insurance.
For tax and insurance, you can connect with local agencies. We need basic
infrastructure,
like a phone number or skype with which you can make many calls. Check for the

4) Search for tasks.


Now you have your basic setup done, we need to start for tasks.
Register yourself in recruitment marketplace and start searching for initial gigs.

6) Promote job requirements


If you have good budget, then you can register in various paid job boards, otherwise,

7) Go Soacially
Create Facebook and Linkedin pages and twitter account where in you can promote
your job roles. Create google plus and some wordpress blogs.

to automate your content.For example ,connect your facebook page with twitter , so
whenever you tweet, it posts in facebook also.

Create whatsapp groups with other vendors and recruiters. You can find them in

8) Find job seekers online.


Posting to job boards is referred to as passive technique. One can start searching for
candidates online also.
The list may be irrelevant many a times as it doesn't have job seekers who are
actively looking but a good one to create your network.

9) Find Resume
Below are search strings to be used in google. Just change the job title with
keywords like "Customer service", "Nurse", "web developer".
Pick one by one keyword and try the below string one by one.. Go for 20-30 links ..
you will find email address and then contact him. You can use gmail/yahoo email
for sending email.

10) Inbound traffic for jobs: Promote your online presence/Online Marketing
a) Write blogs/useful topics related to hiring/technology frequently
Content length: A good blog has around 700-800 words length
Create catchy headlines

Now we have received many candidates, the process will be to shortlist them. Try
Zoho or any free tool for candidate management. You can call them to get an initial
check of their skills. This also can be outsourced or you can find a few gigs where
people are offering these services.
There are many websites which allow creating online question papers and can help
in initial skill check round. One can also speed up initial check with using google
forms for getting resumes where users get shortlisted based on experience, skills,
conditions.
