Describe the traditions concerning an important festival in your country.

How have these

traditions changed over the years?
The celebration of Eid Mubarak, known as Lebaran in Malay Languages, is a tradition that anually
celebrated by Indonesian Muslims. It is being celebrated at the end of Ramadhan, the month of fasting,
for two days. In the first day, all of the Muslims do the morning prayer together in the mosque. After the
prayer ends, people gather together to apologize by shaking their hand for people with the same gender
or just by saying it for people with different gender. Then everyone goes to someone's house, especially
their relatives, to eat in the feast. They eat to celebrate the end of fasting where they have to not eat
from dawn until dusk for straightly one month. In the second day, it is not very different as the first day
but some people do a visit to their relative's cemetry and then give some prayers for them. Nowadays,
Lebaran is not only celebrated by Muslims, some Muslims invite their non-Muslim friends to come to
their house and to eat in the feast. Lebaran teaches us the peace of diversity.
