a Teacher’s Resource Pack Jenny Dooley - Virginia Evans | lao» Express Publishing _ To the Teacher Fairyland a Teacher's Resource Pack airs to: * give teachers additional material that revises and extends the work in the Pupil’s Book; * give pupils the opportunity for extra language practice; * develop pupils’ interest in English! Pupils at this level need constant recycling to ensure that the new language is committed to their long-term memory. At the same time, It is also essential that they are given opportunities to get actively involved in language learning and use their English in meaningful and personalised contexts. Fairyland a Teacher's Resource Pack is divided into the following sections: 1 Reinforcement and Extension Activities: These activities are in the form of Projects which pupils can do on their own or in groups. The pupils can then file their projects in their Language Portfolios. Extras: These extra activities can be done whenever the teacher finds fit. There are also some holiday activities designed for Christmas and Easter. Templates for the craftwork activities in the Pupil’s Book. Checkpoints: There is one Checkpoint for each unit. They are not formal tests as such, but rather a means to consolidate the language taught at any given point, The emphasis here is on giving pupils a sense of achievement by praising what they do know rather than highlighting what they do not know. Pupils explore the senses by making an apple collage: first they take an apple and eat it, leaving the skin and seeds to dry.
