Basic Idea of the Quiz:

Depending on the no of participants that we get we can conduct the event in two rounds.

Case1: sufficient participation

We’ll have a written round in which the top 4 teams will make it to the next round. The questions
will have different marks based on the difficulty level of the questions. According to the weightage of
the marks…they’ll earn game pts. And to make it all more journey related the points will be given in
the form of different modes of transport.

Ex: 1x=car

2x=train

3x=ship

4x=aeroplane

5x=auto (coz manipal)

Now the top 4 teams will have these points and will use it as their currency just like we use the ones
in Monopoly.

For the final round, we have a map(either Manipal or any other fictious one),then again like
monopoly(only one complete round though),to reach from one point to another they’ll use their
currency but the catch being, except for autos, not all modes of transport connect any two points on
the map (that will be deliberated upon once we make the map). In that case they’ll have to barter
their currency with one of the other teams. If they succeed, they move ahead, otherwise miss a turn.
This was the case when the the team knows the answer. When it doesn’t and some other team
knows the answer, then that team moves to the next point in the map without using any currency.

The team which reaches the destination first wins.

Case 2: not enough participation

We’ll eliminate the first round and provide all the teams with some fixed currency.
