A. Introduction:
Acne is a skin disease involving the oil gland at the base of hair follicles. It commonly
occurs during puberty, but it can occur at any age. It is not dangerous but it can leave scars and
there’s a big possibility that it will make again an another acne. This study focuses on how the
students faces the problems of having a acne. We all know that some of the people, Appearance is
important in our society and it can influences the way in which we are perceived by others. Like
if you have a clear skin you can be an endorser to a skin care and there’s a lot of chances to those
people have a clear skin to be exposed on some of cameras. The skin is the most visible organ of
our body determines, our appearance with a wide function in social. Skin diseases have had a
negative impact on human beings, both in acceptance of their own image and in quality of life.
Having a acne on our generation is a big deal in others so there is many teenagers who suffered of
having it (Gustavo et al. 2014) Acne is a condition that can low your self esteem and because of
that there’s a possibility that they will ignore the opportunity of being into a such activities
/competition. There is a big impact to the students of having a acne it can affect on their daily life.
Teenagers nowadays physical appearance is important to them than to know the real behavior of a
person.
However, there’s a lot of treatment that they release to prevent / cure the acne but some of
this can’t help to lessen it because there’s a different type of a skin. So it’s depends on the
individual skin type if the skin care they use is going to be fine/cure their acne or it can be
The aim of the study is to know the impact of acne on health related quality of life among
students. This study is helpful to the students to understand the impact of acne among students.
The problem of the study is the impact of acne on health related quality of life among
students, how do students manage of having a acne? How can this affect on their lifestyle?
According to Dr Thomas, 2004 this article discusses the psychological effect of acne vulgaris. It
is shown that acne has significant effect on self – image and impacts quality of life. Anxiety and
depression and a reduction in social functioning are consequence of this condition. The purpose
of this phenomenological qualitative study will be to understand the impact of acne on health
related quality of life among students for students in St. Patrick school. The problem of the study
