About the Day: Srinivasa Ramanujan was born
on 22nd December 1887 and died on 26 th April
1920. In order to recognize his immense
contribution towards Mathematics, the
Government of India has decided Ramanujan’s
SRINIVASA RAMANUJAN birthday to be celebrated every year as
IYANGER National Mathematics Day.

1. The competition is for the undergraduate students (Topics – Contribution of Indian mathematicians towards
Mathematics, real and complex Analysis, Algebra, ODE, PDE, undergraduate syllabus). Any pair of undergraduate
students can take part in this competition.
2. No two groups of students from the same institute will be permitted to take part in the quiz competition.

4. Prizes will be distributed on the same day and certificate will be given to all the participants.
