Good evening filmmakers, teachers, students, ladies and gentlemen.

Tonight, we conclude the takeaways of our recent endeavor. We have been delighted

and entertained by the magic of filmmaking. The entries were very promising and they

serve as reminders that our youth are indeed creative and possess great potentials.

However, beyond the entertainment brought by films, they serve greater purpose. Films

are created to reflect our way of life, to replicate the truth of our everyday living, and to

be mirrors of our own journey and experiences.

Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao Department has always been committed to provide an

opportunity for every individual to explore the power of filmmaking to share one’s

perception of the world and to develop the sense of social awareness. The path of

filmmaking also paves the way to understand that a person cannot exist alone. It

strengthens collaboration and teamwork. Moral values are fortified, thus creating a

better world of equality and diversity.

If I may quote from 1 Corinthians 12:14 “The body of Christ, or the people that are the

whole of humanity, are a team. The body is not supported by one person, but by all of

us. We are one, we are strongest working together in unity. Teamwork is the key to living

life in harmony, so that we can do God’s will.”
