The History of Britain dates.

Back to the last Ice Age. The Celts were the first
people to settle it. They were successful farmers
and traders who gave Britain its name. Britain was
later invaded by the Roman’s. They brought reading,
writing, civilization and administration to Britain.
Anglo-Saxon tribes came after the Romans. They were
technically advanced. They made huge progress in
agriculture. Besides, they had an impact on the
development of the English language. Ireland
However, was away from all invasions and could
preserve its Celtic culture. Modern Britain is thus the
result of all previous invasions. They all had their
fingerprint on British history.
