Strength lifting – Journey through programs

If you are new to strength training, this guide might be of help. I have recently been
journeying through various strength training programs (which are available free of charge
on various forums, blogs etc).
To begin with, I recommend getting familiar with the OHP, bench, deadlift and squat by
using Starting strength and/or Stronglifts. Please note how your knees are handling the
stress, since you will be squatting 3 times a week. I recommend going through this program
for one month, even though you are still able to add weight to the bar. This is due to my
own experience with squatting so often, being detrimental to my knee health.
After this, I recommend using Greyskull LP for 1 month. I recommend reading about Phraks
Greyskull via the workout routines discussed on reddit/fitness.
Next, go lookup GZCLP for 1-2 months.
After that do 5/3/1 Big but boring.
After that, I recommend doing Jacked and Tan 2.0 for the full duration. This program can be
used for a long period of time, and allows for all the variations you need.
If you want to switch things up, please check the program Average to Savage 2.0.
During your journey, I highly recommend assessing whether you need any mobility work. I
needed to work a lot on the muscles around my hips and shoulders.
