Dear Dean Kuo,

Greetings from Yogyakarta, Indonesia!

I am very happy to learn that the Taipei Medical University College of Public Health will
apply for a grant from the Taiwan CDC (Center for Disease Control) to facilitate the
cooperation on Dengue fever prevention and control between the Taiwan CDC and Central

I understand that, through this grant, Taiwan CDC will invite around 20 healthcare workers
from Central Java Province or Yogyakarta, including decision-making level officials,
physicians, lab technicians and public health workers coming over Taiwan for depth
educational training programs on Dengue fever control and prevention. I will fully support
this initiative and will be pleased to assist in any way we can to implement our collaboration.
I will try my best to coordinate Central Java Province or Yogyakarta to achieve the objectives
of above-mentioned grant.
I also strongly believe that, under your excellent leadership, your team will enhance the
collaboration among the Taiwan CDC, Central Java Province or Yogyakarta, University of
Alma Alta and the Taipei Medical University.
I sincerely wish your success on the grant application from the Taiwan CDC and look forward
to meeting you in Yogyakarta very soon.
