1A Prefix to win!

Aims  To practise adding negative prefixes to adjectives

Time  10−15 minutes
Materials  2 adjectives cards and 1 prefix list per group of
three students
• Divide the class into groups of three – students A, B and C. Give
A and B each an adjectives card. Give C the prefixes list. Ask
C to read out a prefix and A and B to match it to the correct
adjective on their card. C then reads out another prefix. The
winner of the game is the first person to complete their card.
• If time play the game a second time with the second set of
adjectives cards. (The caller should now be student A or B.)
• Optional task: Ask students to discuss which adjectives can be
