Appearance
The protective grounding cable is a 16 mm2 yellow/green cable. The protective grounding
cable is crimped with one OT terminal on both ends. The OT terminal that connects the
RRU can be of the single-hole or dual-hole type, and they have the same function. Please
select the proper cable according to the on-site situation. Figure 3-2 shows the protective
grounding cables.
Note:
l End A is crimped with one M6 OT terminal, and is connected to the RRU.
l End B is crimped with one M8 OT terminal, and is connected to the grounding busbar.
3-2
Core Description
Cable Connections
Use one or two M6 bolts to fix one end of the protective grounding interface cable to the
grounding point of the ZXSDR R8854, and then use one M8 bolt to fix the other end to the
grounding busbar.
Note:
If the DC Junction Box (ODCPD1) is used, connect one end of the protective grounding
interface cable to the grounding terminal of the ODCPD1, and then use another protective
grounding interface cable to connect the ODCPD1 to the grounding busbar.
Appearance
The DC power cable is a 2-wire power cable, and needs to be made on site. A DC power
cable can be made up of one red wire and one blue wire or it is made up of one blue wire
and one black wire. Select DC power cables properly based on the wire color definition of
the local power use standards.
3-3
Wire Description
Cable Connections
One end of the DC power cable is connected to the 2-core DC socket interface inside the
maintenance window of the ZXSDR R8854, and the other end is connected to the external
power supply/DC junction box.
Appearance
An antenna feeder interface cable is a 50 Ω RF cable that is 1/2" in diameter, and both
ends are DIN-type connectors. Figure 3-5 shows an antenna feeder interface cable.
Cable Connections
One end of an antenna feeder interface cable is connected to the ANT1, ANT2, ANT3, or
ANT4 interface of the ZXSDR R8854, and the other end is connected to the corresponding
interface on the main antenna feeder or antenna.
3-4
Appearance
The ZXSDR R8854 provides two optical interfaces: OPT1 and OPT2, which support the
fibers with LC-type connectors. Figure 3-6 shows the connection fiber between the RRU
and BBU. Figure 3-7 shows the fiber used for RRU cascade
Cable Connections
l If a fiber is used to connect the RRU to the BBU, end A of the fiber is connected to the
OPT1 interface of the ZXSDR R8854, and end B is connected to the optical connector
of the BBU.
l For RRU cascade, one end of the fiber is connected to the OPT2 interface of the
ZXSDR R8854, and the other end is connected to the OPT1 interface of the other
ZXSDR R8854.
Appearance
The AISG/MON interface cable includes the AISG interface cable and MON interface
cable.
