FABRICATION OF FOURLEG WALKING ROBO

Synopsis;
The movement of the robot controlled by means of D.C motor, which is involved in the major
application of Robotics .This project is divided into three modules for better understanding of
the project kit. This module include,

1) M.S. Fabricated walkable kit


2) Electrical control unit .
3) 12vdc Power Supply (Battery 12v/ 7ah)
This M.S. Fabricated walkable kit having one motor with built-in gearbox drives the two shafts
through the chain drive and sprocket mechanism. There are four leg which are lifted by the
rotation of shafts through the cam mechanism. These four legs are positioned like a four
wheeled car .The electrical control unit supplies the power from the battery to the motor through
the three way switch controlled manually. The three way switch is used for forward ,reverse and
stopping control for robot kit.

Advantages;

1. Easy to control
2. Simple in operation

Disadvantages;

1. Arrangement should be made to charge the Battery.


2. Turning is not possible i.e moves straight forward and reverse.

Application;

1. By adding wireless control can be used for inspection of human restricted areas like atomic
reactor plant.

2. Research work in forest areas.
