*Cleansing: Use face wash for the face and soap for the rest of your body.

*Face scrubs to remove dead skin:


For normal skin - mix green gram and Bengal gram powder in equal quantity in milk and apply on face. When dry,
pat with water, scrub in a circular motion and rinse with water. This helps to give the skin a smooth appearance.
Should be used at least twice a week.

*To control open pores: Mix tomato juice and honey and apply on skin daily. Keep on for 10 minutes and then rinse
off.

*Moisturising dry skin: After cleansing and toning, use a moisturiser. You can choose between a readymade and a
homemade moisturiser. Mix 1 spoon of glycerine and a few drops of Vitamin E oil and apply on the face. Rinse off
after 20 minutes. This gives a soft and smooth texture.

*Complexion masks to lighten skin colour: Make a paste with 1 tsp milk powder, 2 tsp honey and juice of half a
lemon, apply on your face, leave it on till it dries and then rinse off. If you are the busy one with no time, do the
following. Take a lime and cut it into two.

Rub one half on the face gently. Squeeze the other half into a cup of water, add a little rock salt and drink it. Do it
for 6-8 weeks regularly. There will be a marked improvement in your skin colour.

Drink a glass of lemon juice daily. This contains Vitamin C, which improves the complexion. Include a glass of
carrot juice or any mixed vegetable juice in your daily diet.

Soak fenugreek (methi seeds) in a glass of water overnight. Drink the water and eat the seeds the next morning. This
not only improves the complexion but also acts as a pain-reliever. Include one green leafy vegetable daily in your
diet. This contains a lot of iron and micronutrients and helps to get rid of dark circles under the eyes.

Take honey in some form. If you are plump, take a glass of honey and juice of half a lemon in water at room
temperature. Alternatively, you can add honey to your toast instead of jam. Honey has Vitamin B-Complex that is
essential for good skin colour. Yoghurt is a wonder food. Eat it as well as use it to massage your skin. It tones up
both dry and oily skin.

 For normal skin-for a normal skin any of these packs can be applied, the only thing which has to
be kept in the mind is that normal skin requires both the things as milk cream and lemon juice.
But the proportion should be equal. As normal skin needs both the things a little of cream to
give smoothness and a little of lemon juice to reduce oiliness. Normal skin is the best skin which
requires least care and have few problems.
 Take gram flour powder, add a pinch of turmeric powder to it and make the paste using
milk cream or raw milk. Apply it on the face and wash it with lukewarm water.
 Take milk powder and add honey to it to make a paste. Apply it on your skin and wash
off after 20 minutes with lukewarm water.
 Take wheat flour and add milk cream in it. Make a paste and apply it on the skin. It
makes the skin smooth and supple and reduces the dryness.
 Soak almonds in the water. Make a paste by adding honey to it and apply it on the skin.
Leave it for at least 20 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. It adds glow to the skin,
enhances the complexion and makes the skin smooth.
 Make a paste of gram flour and rose water, add milk cream to it. Apply it on the skin and
scrub off when half dry.
 Milk cream is a very good solution to soothe dry skin. It can be added in any of these
packs to reduce the dryness of the skin.
 Facial mask for a combination skin

1)Cucumber&Yoghurt mask
Ingredient: ¼ of a cucumber
1 Tbsp plain/natural yoghurt
Puree the cucumber in a blender and mix it with the yoghurt. Your mask is ready.

2) Oatmeal and olive oil mask


Ingredients: 1 egg
1/2 cup cooked instant oatmeal
1tsp olive oil
Mix one egg and 1/2 cup cooked instant oatmeal and a teaspoon olive oil until smooth. Spread on your
face and leave 15 min then rinse.
For combination skin, you can also try using two different masks. Use a mask for oily skin on the T-zone
and a moisturizing mask on the cheeks and neck.
