2. Avocado, Yogurt, & Honey Face Mask

If you are still recovering from the harsh winter, this mask is great for hydrating dull skin. You
probably already know that eating avocado can do great things for your skin, but using it on your
skin as an actual treatment does wonders as well. Avocados are full of vitamins, antioxidants,
and fatty acids that are excellent for moisturizing the skin. The outermost layer of skin can easily
absorb the nutrients in avocados, which will give it the healthy boost it needs.
Supplies:
Local Honey
Avocado
Any Kind of Unflavored Yogurt
A Bowl for Mixing

Directions:
Use about 1/4 – 1/2 of a ripe avocado. Mash it until it’s cream and
blend it together with a few tablespoons of yogurt, and a
tablespoon (or so) of honey.

The recipe is flexible! The goal is for your blended face mask

ingredients to have a texture that you like and that will easily smooth
across your skin.

Before you apply your face mask, you will want to have some
freshly washed skin!Your everyday face wash will work just
fine. Apply a thick layer of the face mask evenly across your skin
avoiding your direct eye area.

Leave on your skin for 15-20 minutes and allow it to harden a little.

Rinse with cool or lukewarm water.

3. Exfoliating Face Mask

Exfoliating your skin a couple times a week is vital to your glow — it removes the
dead cells, leaving the skin fresh and glowy. To get the most out of this mask, apply the
mixture in small, circular motions, allow the mask to dry for 10-15 minutes, then rinse
the mask off. The baking soda will be key to removing the dead surface cells. Honey
and vitamin E oil will work to hydrate and replenish the skin.

Ingredients:

 3 Tablespoons baking soda
 1 teaspoon honey
 1 teaspoon Vitamin E oil
 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
 3 to 4 teaspoons milk

Mix all the ingredients together in a small container and apply to face (this is enough
for one thickly-applied face mask.) Gently work the mixture into your skin in a
circular motion, then allow the mask to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse off with water,
again using a circular motion for more exfoliating action.

 The baking soda in this recipe provides the exfoliation as it gently scrubs away
dead skin.
 The honey naturally hydrates the skin and is rich in antioxidants and has anti-
microbial properties.
 Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects and repairs your skin.
 Cinnamon has a warming effect on the skin which brings fresh, oxygen-rich
blood to the surface to kill bacteria and detoxify the skin and gives a healthy
rosy glow.
