The electric motor and its connection device are explosi proof with type of protection “n*. The electric parameters of basic variants of electric motors are given below in table. The insulation class F. The basic material of mechanical constructional components is a cast iron (frame, bearing brackets) and steel (shaft, fan cover). The shaft is fastened in rolling bearing. The fans are made of plastic or steel. When circumferential velocity of fan exceeded 50 ms material with insulation resistance less than 1 GQ is used. The housing and cover of connection compartment can be made also of aluminium alloy (Mg < 0,5 %) or cast iron. The design of fastening of separate electric motor parts and used sealing materials ensure dogree of protection at least IP 55. The terminals and terminal boxes verified as part of electric motor with type of protection “n* are used for connection of windings or auxiliary circuits and connection of extemal conductors. Ex cable glands with degree of protection IP 55 or higher ensure cable entry to the connection compartment.
