ABOUT THE SUBJECT


Management is both art and science, with our help you can identify and develop the skills essential to
better managing your and others’ behaviors where organizations are concerned. Managers are responsible for
the processes of getting activities completed efficiently with and through other people and setting and achieving
the firm’s goals through the execution of four basic management functions: planning, organizing, leading, and
controlling. Both sets of processes utilize human, financial, and material resources.

The shortcomings in the curriculum to attain the Programme Outcomes is identified as curricular gaps
GATE syllabus shall also be taken into consideration to identify the curriculum gaps.

ACTION TAKEN FOR COVERING CURRICULAMGAP


Faculty handling the course is conducted special lectures such as CNC Programming and Edgecam Training (Add-
on courses) to address the content beyond syllabus and to bridge the curriculum gap.
Students are encouraged to work with innovative ideas and shall focus on current technological trends to do their
Seminars and Projects in the final year, to acquire knowledge beyond syllabus.
Department is organized Industrial visits and support students to do Projects at industries to make them conscious
of the challenges in the industry.. Students are encouraged to utilize resources like NPTEL and various e-learning
materials and e-journals. The students are encouraged to attend various online courses (TDEX, NPTEL) and trainings
to address the content beyond syllabus.

IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED
1. Technical fests shall be organized by the students which enable them to be aware of the new frontiers in
engineering.
2. International Conferences and expert talks shall be avenues for the students to enhance their technical
knowledge and soft skills by interacting with the resource persons of expertise from various fields.
