Lee Yong-gu (Ryu Seung Ryong) is a man with a mental disorder. Lee Yong-gu lives in a slum house with
his daughter named Ye-seung (Kal So won),

The story begins when little Ye-sung wants to have a yellow Sailormoon bag that he often sees in the
shop window with his father who works as a parking attendant. When Ye-sung's father saw the bag the
other day, it turned out that the bag had been bought by the daughter of a police Commissioner. Ye-
sung's father who saw the bag taken from the display case ran to the store, and said it was Ye-sung's bag
repeatedly. The chairman of the commissioner was angry and hit Ye-sung's father.

The next day, when Ye-sung's father was having lunch break, the Chairwoman's daughter came to him.
he said that there were Sailormoon bags in another store. Ye-sung's father followed the boy, running
through the quiet market. Suddenly the child slipped on ice and suffered a fatal blow to the back of the
head. When Lee Yong-gu tried to resuscitate him, an observer mistakenly thought Lee Yong-gu had
mistreated the child. Lee Yong-gu was accused of kidnapping, murdering and also rape of a minor.

The police, who ignored the evidence, eventually put Lee Yong-gu in prison and put him in Cell no. 7 of
the loudest cells in high security prison. the people in the cell were led by gang leader So Yang-ho who
was initially unfriendly to Lee Yong-gu after reading in a file that Lee Yong-gu killed and molested a child.

When Lee Yong-gu rescues Yang-ho from the fatal threat of stabbing by another gang leader, Yang-ho
returns the favor by smuggling Ye-seung in Cell No.7. Cell inmates slowly become friends with Lee Yong-
gu and believe he's a good person who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

They helped Lee Yong-gu practice what must be said at the trial. In the end the warden Jang Min-hwan
who was initially harsh on Lee Yong-gu became soft when the latter saved him from the burning attack,
realizing Lee Yong-gu was only cornered to make a false confession.

He takes Ye-seung and lets him visit his father every afternoon. But the police commissioner threatened
to hurt Ye-seung if Lee Yong-gu did not admit the crime during his trial. Lee Yong-gu finally chose to
sacrifice himself to plead guilty and get a death sentence.

The December 23 execution date coincides with Ye-seung's birthday. Before that date, Lee Yong-gu and
Ye-seung saw their last sunset together. Years have passed after the execution of Lee Yong-gu, Ye-seung
who had been officially adopted by Min-hwan has now become a lawyer.

Ye-sung gathered his father's ex-convicts who were all released to testify in the retrial of the late Lee
Yong-gu, which resulted in his release. Ye-seung visits cell 7 and remembers the hot air balloon trip with
his father.

In my opinion the film's shortcomings, flashbacks that are difficult to understand especially at the end of
the story. But finally I understood what the storyline was like. Then the number of events that were
missed so it seemed illogical, for example, there were several scenes of Yong Goo injured but no healing
scenes, suddenly Yong Goo was healthy as if nothing had happened. And this film should tell where the
real mother Ye Sung in order to add to the atmosphere of the drama.

Then, in this film there are adult magazine posters. In my opinion it's not feasible because this film
should be able to be watched by all ages. while with the poster. then this film can only be enjoyed by 17
years and above.

The advantage of this film is that the acting of the actors who play in this film makes the audience lost in
the sadness in this film. This film also gives a message to the audience, especially for children to always
respect and care for parents.
Miracle in cell nr.7 film is better than a wedding dress movie, because the story is packaged more
interesting with the unique players in it. and the issues raised are also more severe compared to a
wedding dress that only presents a light storyline

I highly recommend this movie for you melo drama lovers, because this film has many touching scenes
and is guaranteed to make you shed tears, besides that this film also slips comedy parts that make the
film's storyline more interesting. If the value of the numbers 1-10 I will give a value of 10 on this film,
because in my opinion this is a film that can be watched by all ages and the story is not boring.
