Receiving Log

Wood yard decides how to input logs to the process. Logs which is became raw materials to the mill
process come from two condition, it called direct feeding and stacking. Wood yard controls the
quantity of each kinds of logs. Nowadays, the logs that process to the mill consist of 80% woods
from truck (direct feeding) and 20% woods from stacking. Logs that put in to receiving logs firstly are
sprayed using water to

Raw wood logs are sprayed by water to clean them and to make bark easier to peel in the debarking
drum later. There are 7 chip production lines in this Wood Yard. Line number 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7 use
Bark-On wood logs, while Line 3 & 4 use debarked wood logs. There is no debarking drum in Line 3 &
4.
